Scientists says the success mantra for a long lasting married life. Men should marry smart and young women that too who are 5 years younger and well qualified than them.
Scientists tracked 1,000 couples who were either married or in serious relationships over five years and then looked for patterns among those who were still together.Man being at least five years older reduced the chances of divorce, when the woman had five years on her partner, divorce was more than three times as likely.
As a model of good marital decisions, the Telegraph and the BBC both held up Jay-Z and Beyonce — he’s 11 years older than her, and unlike him, she graduated from high school. However while Michael Douglas, 65, is considerably older than his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40, the fact that he was previously divorced would count against them.
The academics’ report, published in the European Journal of Operational Research, did say that men and women choose partners “on the basis of love, physical attraction, similarity of taste, beliefs and attitudes, and shared values”.
During college life, mostly all fall in love with their classmates, when it comes to marriage, very few go successful. In India, most of the parents would find a guy who is at least 4 to 5 years elder to the girl and the case becomes the other way round if its a boy. It is said that women become more practical and matured than men from the younger age itself. That is the reason why elder one prefers an age gap of 4 to 5 years.
Divorce cases are rising in numbers each day and one of the reason behind is ‘intolerance’. No one is able to forgive and forget things. Age gap let one think practically about the situation and it would make life easy.If more importance is given to age,education and cultural origin divorce rate would have been reduced.
It is time to decide and act upon.
